Are we really actuaally getting smarter? better informed? wiser? than our predecessors? After all communication tech is sooo different from a time when scribing on stone was probably the social equivalent of an email. Though e way my mum writes her emails, scribing stones was probably the quicker option by far. The philosopher Jean-Franciois Lyotard argues that the postmodern knowledge is not about the search for truth, but rather for pragmatic results. Undoubtedbly, this
hasn't helped my spelling abit but
it is the main interest of knowledge and the orientation of scientifik research now. My point is this:
Hasn't the expansion, proliferation and liberalized (and sometimes deceiving) use of these continually generated knowledge led to this multi-doctrinal times and very confused individuals?
